Taska Gemirang or Gigglytown has been operating in your neighborhood since March 2010.

At Gigglytown, we use common sense as well as the Reggio Approach for toddlers and pre-schoolers. The Reggio Approach to early childhood has been developed in Reggio Emilia, a small city in Northern Italy, by a teacher called Loris Malaguzzi at the end of World War II. His method provides for high quality children-centred educational setting for children – one that empowers them and encourages them to realise their potentials so they grow to be well-rounded adults. Among others, the Reggio Approach puts emphasis in the relationship between children, parents, ‘teachers’ and the community.

For teenagers and adults alike, the centre offers a library (donation of books are welcome) with reference books, fictions and non-fictions. Once a while, we have book reviews with actual writers as we hope to contribute in developing a society that reads. During weekends, we have activities such as dance lessons, baking class, art and craft, tazkirah, and short term projects too.

The place also offers Iqra' lessons every weekday from 8 to 9.30 pm by a hafiz.

Our centre is in the process of acquiring approval form the regulatory bodies. The process will take a while. In the meantime, our staff has been trained under Jab. Kebajikan Masyarakat for Kursus Awal Asuhan Kanak-kanak (KAAK) and PBSM for Basic First Aid.

You see, we aspire Gigglytown to be more than just a children development centre – we wish it to serve the whole PUSJ community as one of THE places where all of us can hang out and make friends. For further information, call Shidah at 60351915893 or 0127772967, or Maria at 0122967906.

We thank you and hope to be of service.
